  • Twenty Usability Tips for Your Blog — Condensed from Dozens of Bloggers’ Experiences

I’ve been doing research on what distinguishes good blogs from poor ones, especially by reading “lessons learned” posts by bloggers. I’ve come up with 20 principles I think are worthwhile. Let me know which ones you agree or disagree with.

Tom Johnson on i'd rather be writing — So. This tumblelog conforms to between 7 and 10 out of his 20 tips, depending on how generous on three of them. But then, this is hardly your typical weblog.

  • Canada Worse than 3rd World Countries when it comes to Mobile Data Access

If you don’t live in Canada but you or your small business depends on mobile connectivity or net neutrality in general, don’t come here.

Another reason I don’t have a cell phone. 500MB/month transfer (in Canada equivalent to 100 minutes at 700KB/sec):

    • Vodafone NZ — $41
    • Terracom (Rwanda) — $74
    • Vodafone UK — $102
    • Bell Canada — $850
    • Rogers — $1,600
  • The Travesty of Canadian Mobile Data Rate

1GB usage and look at just the 4 Canadian carriers. Fido and Rogers come in at a whopping $4100 per month
